My family always told me I was a good writer. What they meant by that is that I was really good at writing Valentine’s Day roast to all of them. Yes, that is right, Valentine’s Day ROAST, not toasts. For some reason, I had it in my mind that those you truly love should know how you truly feel, so on the day of love, I decided to express it.

Anyway, I have now been tasked to blog twice a week. I never really thought I’d start a blog, but I must admit, as I’ve let my mind run with the idea, I have gotten pretty excited. I’ve titled the blog “Walk Through the Journey With Me” because I want all readers to get just as much joy and inspiration from reading it as I do writing it.

So, I invite you to take a walk with me. A more metaphorical one then you probably have in your mind. For starters, I want you to know a little bit about me.

I am from St. Davids, Pennsylvania, a town outside the city of Philadelphia. I am the youngest of four kids, and if there is one thing you should know about me, it is that I LOVE my family! I played all sorts of sports my whole life, but a passion for the game of golf led me to play collegiately at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I am in my final semester. When I graduate in May, I will embark on a journey that I have dreamed about since I was a little girl… the pursuit of professional golf.

As I enter this new journey, I have been reflecting on what has gotten me to this point and what drives me to keep going. My life has been shaped by the role models which I will highlight and the aspirations to achieve greatness. I am an inspiration junkie, and I get fueled by reading the stories of others as they pursue their dream. My goal with this blog is to document the joy, struggles, triumph  and defeat that accompany the journey towards most goals. I will look back at the lessons I’ve learned in the past, what’s happening in the present and where I want to go in the future. I hope this blog leaves you with inspiration, joy and the comfort that you are always walking with someone. I will do my best to give you the full transparency of pursuing an audacious goal rather than the endless highlights reals we often find on social media.

Here’s to the first step on a long walk!
