Hi, I'm Brynn!

Here’s a little bit about me. I grew up in Wayne, PA, raised by Rock and Mary Lou Walker. I’m the youngest of four kids and I often say I’m a combination of my three siblings because of the incredible ways they’ve influenced my life. As a young girl, I explored every sport imaginable. My love for all kinds of games, combined with having my brother as my best friend, quickly earned me the nickname “Tomboy.” In elementary school, I was the quarterback during pickup football at recess and the queen of the pitching mound after school.

Eventually, I discovered the sport I’d call my own when my brother invited me to join him on a trip to the driving range.  When I was 10 years old, my dad joined St. Davids Golf Club, hoping it would be a great place for his three daughters to get married. None of us ended up getting married there. But you could say that’s where I “married” the game. I spent every afternoon on those hallowed grounds chasing my dream of becoming a professional golfer. I embraced the summer heat and winter cold, determined to test how badly I wanted to achieve my dream. In high school, I competed across the country on the highest national stages. After much success, including multiple junior trophies and four Pennsylvania state titles, I earned a full scholarship to play golf at the University of North Carolina.

About Me

My four years there were incredible. I enjoyed the athletic community and the camaraderie between my teammates and other other athletes. That’s where I met my husband, Trevor. We got married on campus in December 2022 at the Carolina Inn. I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to have him as my teammate for life. But, back to the good stuff...

In 2021, I finally made my dream a reality when I turned professional. I played full-time on the Epson Tour and had five starts on the LPGA Tour.

What about my writing?

Here's the backstory

My family always told me I was a good writer. What they actually meant, though, was that I was exceptionally skilled at writing Valentine’s Day roasts for each of them. Yes, you read that correctly—roasts, not toasts. For some reason, I believed that those you truly love should know exactly how you feel, and Valentine’s Day seemed like the perfect occasion to express it… with a little humor and edge.

Then, during my senior year of college, one of my capstone courses required us to start a blog and write twice a week. It was an opportunity to explore topics we were truly passionate about. As an athlete, I had always been drawn to inspirational stories, often from the world of sports. So, I created Words on the Walk—a blog where I shared lessons learned from long walks on the golf course, and how those lessons could be applied to life. I also sprinkled in personal stories that tugged at my heartstrings and highlighted the individuals who had supported and inspired me along the way.

After four years of collegiate golf at the University of North Carolina, I turned professional in January 2021. Whether on a plane, lying in bed in a hotel room, or waiting out a rain delay, I found time to document the ups and downs of my journey as a professional golfer and shared them on my blog.

It became therapeutic for me, and hearing how my writing resonated with readers was incredibly rewarding. The feedback I received—how my stories impacted their lives—was like a little spark of joy that brightened my day.
